Questions

How do I join the beta?

Install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the beta link on your iPhone. Until the public link opens, ask for an invite.

Which cities and lines does Metrove cover?

New York's subway, PATH, the LIRR and Metro-North; Boston's T, with the Red, Orange, Blue and Green lines and the Mattapan trolley; and the Bay Area's BART and Muni Metro. Muni Metro is shown without live trains for now.

Why does Metrove want my location?

To show the stations near you, stamp the one you're at, and note the stations you pass while you record a commute. It works without it: Home takes you to your home station with no location needed. See the privacy policy for what's kept.

Why can't I stamp a station?

You need to be at the station, with Precise Location on (Settings, Metrove, Location). Underground, your iPhone may not know where it is yet: try at the entrance, or once it picks up the station's Wi-Fi. Each station can be stamped once a day.

Why don't I see any trains?

If the board says it can't reach live trains, your iPhone is offline or a transit agency's feed is down. Metrove tries again every 30 seconds, and the board says when only some lines are missing.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and find Metrove. To change its look or pin a station, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget.

Will I lose my stamps on a new phone?

No. Signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, your passport, commutes and rewards come back on a new phone or after reinstalling.

How do I stop sharing my friend card?

Open Friends and tap Stop sharing my card, under your card. Stopping deletes it.

How do I send beta feedback?

Take a screenshot in Metrove and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open TestFlight, choose Metrove and tap Send Beta Feedback. Email works too.
